It is also the size that goes in with winter clothes when they are packed away — doing the job lavender has traditionally done in a wardrobe, alongside simply smelling good.
Dried Grosso buds from our Richmond rows. Grosso is the lavandin we grow for drying rather than for the kitchen; the camphor that makes it wrong for a teacup is exactly what makes it right for a cupboard.
When the scent fades, roll it firmly between your hands to crush the buds and open more oil.
