Fifty-five grams of dried Grosso buds — enough volume that it carries a full season without needing any attention from you. A coat cupboard, a box of winter bedding, a suitcase between trips.
Grosso is the lavandin we cut for drying: taller, later-flowering and higher in camphor than our English lavenders. That camphor is why a sachet is still doing something in a year, and why the same plant has no business anywhere near a cake.
When the scent fades, roll it firmly between your hands. At this weight it will take that treatment many times over.
