There comes a point where you stop rationing it.
The 100 ml gets used carefully — a little in the morning, a little before bed, and a glance at how much is left. The 200 ml gets used the way you wanted to use it in the first place. Over the face on the way out of the door. Across the pillow without counting sprays. On sheets as they come in off the line.
Same water, same still, same three cultivars. Just enough of it that you stop thinking about it.
Three cultivars
Melissa — floral, lifted with lemon. The bedtime one.
Superblue — sweet and honeyed, our gentlest. For skin that argues with everything else.
Grosso — green and bracing. The one that scents a whole room.
What you are buying
Hydrosol is the water that comes off the still alongside the essential oil — a different part of the same harvest, not a diluted version of it. That is why it goes straight onto skin when the oil cannot. The longer answer is here.
Keeping it
Out of the sun, nozzle clean, and in the fridge if you want the full year from it. Chilled, in August, it is a different product altogether.
Still portable enough for a bedside table. The 500 ml is the one that stops being portable.
