Our three cultivars are genuinely different plants doing genuinely different things, and the gap between them surprises people who have only ever met lavender in a supermarket. Five millilitres is enough to find out which one is yours before you commit to thirty.
The three
Melissa — floral, lifted with lemon, and the smallest harvest we take. The evening one.
Superblue — our culinary English lavender. Sweet, honeyed, low in camphor and the gentlest of the three.
Grosso — green and bracing with a clean camphor finish. The lavender everyone already has in their head.
Not a sample
You use essential oil in drops, so 5 ml is weeks of diffuser evenings, not a token. It is a small bottle, not a small amount of use.
Using it
A few drops in a diffuser. For skin, dilute first — six to twelve drops into 30 ml of a carrier oil. Neat essential oil is too concentrated to go on directly, and that is chemistry rather than caution.
For lavender you can put straight on your face, the hydrosol is the one.
