Autumn Gardens at Lavenderland
The summer came to an end, but our gardens are still blooming. As our gardeners continue to harvest the remaining lavender flowers to distil essential oils and floral hydrosol, they are also working to keep our pond and waterfall gardens healthy.
After the Peak Bloom
Peak colour across the fields runs from late June through early August, but the season does not end there. Melissa and Grosso carry on into mid-September, and some of our cultivars keep flowering even after the public visiting season has closed.
Autumn is when the work turns inward. The last of the harvest comes in, and the flowers head to the still.
From Field to Bottle
Everything we make begins here on the farm. We steam-distil our own lavender on site, and a single harvest becomes the essential oils and hydrosols that go on to fill our body care, candles and culinary range. Nothing is shipped in and relabelled — what you smell in the bottle grew in the rows outside.
You can browse the full range online, or pick something up while you are here.
The Pond and Waterfall Gardens
Beyond the lavender rows, our gardeners look after the pond and waterfall gardens through the cooler months. It is a quieter corner of the farm and a good place to slow down for a few minutes.
Visiting in Autumn
After a purchase in the gift shop, we welcome visitors to take a stroll in our gardens and enjoy the tranquility and the flowers blooming under the autumn sky.
The gift shop stays open year-round, though off-season hours may vary — please check our opening hours before you set out, or see the FAQ if you have a question about your visit.
One last thing: are you able to name the different types of flowers growing in our gardens?
